Caring for your piece

Washing

Hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent, or use your machine's delicate cold cycle. Turn the garment inside out before washing.

Drying

Lay flat or hang to dry. Never tumble dry. heat can distort the shape and damage delicate vintage fibers permanently.

Ironing & pressing

Use a low heat setting and always press with a pressing cloth between the iron and the fabric. Steam works well for linen and cotton.

Storage

Store folded or hung in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid plastic bags . Vintage textiles need to breathe. For off-season, store in a cedar chest due to their natural ability to repel insects like moths, control odors, and manage humidity.

What to avoid

Bleach, harsh stain removers, and high heat are the enemies of vintage fabric. If you're dealing with a stain we suggest mixing equal parts washing soda and water, apply to the stain and let sit, lightly aggitate and rinse.

HOw to Measure

All garment measurements are taken flat on a hard surface. To compare to your body, double any measurement that wraps around you (bust, waist, hip).
